Le Dupleix, Pondicherry is popular for owning the first bar in the city, 'The Governor's Lounge Bar'. The bar is tastefully decorated with intricate embroidery tableau by French designer Jean Francois Lesage. In the 18th century, the bar was the residence of Joseph Francois Dupleix, after whom, our luxury hotel in Pondicherry is named.
